CNC Machinist:

Job Description: Must have understanding of machine capabilities and capacities, and skills for a wide range of computer numerical control (CNC) machine operations including lathes and horizontal and vertical mills. Set up and operate CNC's to perform and produce precision metal parts, machinery and materials; perform actions such as cutting, drilling, milling, boring and broaching as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints/drawings. Understanding of production scheduling and compliance. Must be able to accurately inspect components to blueprint/drawing.ing

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
    - Set up lathes and mills for new jobs.
  • - Operate CNC machinery to tight tolerances.
  • - Safely operate machine shop equipment.
    - Inspect components to print/drawing.
    - Provide own tools for inspection.
    - Maintain flexible work schedule.
    - Deburr and edgebreak.
    - Demonstrated success in problem solving.
    - Knowledge of tolerances and dimensions.
  • - Strong analytical and business communication skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    - Should have the ability to interact cooperatively and work as a team.
  • - Attention to detail.
  • - Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • - Work within a quality system.
  • Job Requirements:
  • - 3 to 5 years of related experience on CNC lathes and mills.
  • - Demonstrated experience with quality control measures.
    - Ability to perform routine calculations.
    - Ability to use analytical skills to determine the root cause of problems and find a solution.
    - Uses good judgment in decisions regarding process and problem solving.
  • - Able to understand and use computers.
  • - Experience with ERP system a plus.
  • - Ability to interface with all levels of management.
  • - Prior supervisory experience a plus.
  • - CNC programming a plus

CNC Programmer:

    - Uses good judgment in decisions regarding process and problem solving.
  • - Able to understand and use computers.
